The R4 Companion is an app designed to optimize your driving experience with the R4 radar detector. This feature-rich companion enhances the functionality of your detector with intelligent alerts and advanced muting capabilities. The app builds upon the success of the V1 Companion, incorporating years of optimizations and features specifically tailored for Uniden detectors.

One of the standout features of the R4 Companion is its enhanced GPS location-based 'false muting' feature called SpotLocks. This intelligent system learns and adapts to your driving patterns, automatically silencing false alerts in familiar locations. Additionally, you have the option to manually lock or unlock specific locations with ease from the main alert screen.

In terms of alerting and muting systems, the R4 Companion is fully optimized for the R4 platform. You will receive intelligent voice announcements and on-screen visuals to keep you well-informed and aware of your surroundings.
 
It's important to note that the R4 Companion app requires a Uniden R4 radar detector to function properly.

 <li>High-resolution meters offer more detailed information than the R4 display</li>
 <li>Customizable heads-up display (HUD)</li>
 <li>HUD displays the priority alert's band, signal strength, frequency, and color-coded indication of real threats vs. muted false signals</li>
 <li>HUD also displays secondary alerts' bands, signal strengths, frequencies, and bogey counts</li>
 <li>Advanced BSM/CAS/Ka False Muting specifically optimized for the R4 platform</li>
 <li>'Ghost' muting feature quiets false alerts when traveling near a false-emitting vehicle</li>
 <li>"Passive Mute" feature automatically quiets the R4 below user-set speeds and during weak K & X signals</li>
 <li>Bogey count display shows the total number of threats detected</li>
 <li>Vehicle speed display with color coding for different alert types</li>
 <li>Mute status with manual mute/unmute functionality</li>
 <li>Detailed and intelligent voice announcements provide direction, band, frequency, strength, number of alerts, occurrences of mixed signals, and more</li>
 <li>Automatic muting of Ka, K, and X bands with customizable 'Time before mute' settings for each band</li>
 <li>'Reduce Speed' notification alerts you when you exceed a user-set speed threshold</li>
 <li>'Urgency Alerts' unmutes growing threats and provides voice and notification announcements for these alerts</li>
 <li>'Alert History' allows you to view past alerts with detailed information</li>
 <li>Compass heading display</li>
 <li>Detailed trip summary includes duration, distance, alerts, muting statistics, battery status, and more</li>
 <li>Automatic and seamless Bluetooth connection, even when the app is in the background</li>
 <li>iPhone and Apple Watch notifications provide direction, band, and frequency of each alert</li>
